Frequently Asked Questions
Our live training is focused on what your people need! There is not one second wasted trying to sell the newest, greatest product! Though vendors have set the standard to training for many years, they have left much to be desired. All vendor training is scripted or “canned.” Our instructors come from diverse backgrounds, they are capable of answering complex and challenging questions, then proving their response using the system. The on-line training is focused on the most essential concepts necessary when learning to troubleshoot automated systems.
Solid troubleshooting skills are essential for all technicians and engineers. We strive to give the technicians tools and information necessary to become effective troubleshooters. We teach people to look for small problems. Many “intermittent” or “recurring” failures exist because the technicians fails to accurately diagnose the root cause. Developing a holistic view of the system aids in finding the root cause of failures and reducing downtime.
Staying focused on the topics that are most important to the technician allows us to maximize the 40+ hours we will spend together. There are no power-points or busy work. Only practical lessons and exercises that help build essential troubleshooting skills.
The Online Courses cover all the basic principles and concepts taught in the In-Person Courses. The online courses were created to help the training manager with a tight schedule. While doing in-person training is great, it is frequently challenging for a facility to make 6 highly skilled technicians and engineers available for 40 hours of training. The online training is derived from classes that have evolved from over 10 years of teaching in person. Online training covers most of the same material, in a on-demand, at your own pace, format.
We are a independent training company, with a business focused on making your people better! We have no association with Siemens or Rockwell Automation.
All of our courses are nearly 100% hand on and highly intense. People who work in manufacturing tend to learn best by doing. Trying to explain how to perform complex task with automated equipment is a waste of time compared to actually doing the work. All of our live PLC classes are one person per trainer station.
All of our PLC courses involve some programing. Simple programs are taught to demonstrate a concept or how the system works. Though all of the lessons taught would be useful if not essential for a programmer to know, they are not intended to create programmers. Few people actually write programs. Many people read and troubleshoot through the programs to keep the machines running all day every day!
